At EARLEY+DAUGHTERS, we’re passionate about creating candles that look great, smell amazing, and—most importantly—are kind to the planet. Sustainability has always been at the heart of everything we do + since July 2023 we have been entirely plastic free, which is something we are very proud of. We truly believe that sustainability and luxury can, and should, go hand in hand + are incredibly passionate about creating beautiful products that don’t compromise on environmental responsibility. We talk about this a lot but thought it would help to have all the information about our sustainability credentials in one place, so here we go!
Clean, natural ingredients
Lots of well known candle brands out there (we won’t name names, but google... you will be surprised) are made with paraffin wax, which is a byproduct of petroleum and can release nasty toxins when burned. We use sustainably sourced soy wax which is natural, renewable, biodegradable and better for you - as well as the planet. As well as the environmental benefits, soy wax candles have a better scent throw and burn longer too. Our wicks? They’re 100% cotton, ensuring a clean, toxin-free burn every time.
Scents to feel good about
We want your homes and workspaces to smell incredible—without chemicals. Which is why we only use paraben and phthalate free fragrance oils and ethically sourced essential oils. No harsh synthetics, just pure, clean scents that enhance your mood and wellbeing and make every day moments special.
Eco-friendly packaging
Sustainability doesn’t stop at the candle itself - our packaging is designed to be as eco-friendly as possible and we keep it super simple to minimise waste. Candles are either wrapped in brown Kraft paper or an organic cotton pouch, and placed in FSC certified cardboard postal boxes amongst biodegradable packing peanuts. Our amber glass jars? Made in Britain and fully recyclable (lots of imported amber glass is not) - but also perfect for repurposing! Our upcycled vintage collections? These vessels can all be used for their original purpose once you’ve finished your candle.
